About the Role
An ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) installer specializes in the installation of aluminum composite panels, commonly used for building facades, signage, and architectural cladding.
Requirements
Reading & Interpreting Drawings – Understand blueprints and shop drawings to ensure precise installation according to project specifications.
Material Preparation & Cutting – Use saws, CNC machines, or hand tools to cut ACM panels to the required dimensions.
Framing & Substructure Setup – Ensure proper framework or substructure is installed for secure panel attachment.
Panel Installation – Align and fasten ACM panels using mechanical fasteners, adhesives, or clip systems.
Sealing & Waterproofing – Apply sealants, gaskets, or weatherproofing materials to protect against moisture and environmental factors.
Surface Finishing & Aesthetics – Maintain uniform panel gaps, ensure clean edges, and check for proper alignment for a polished final look.
Problem-Solving & Adjustments – Make on-site modifications when necessary to accommodate design changes or unforeseen structural conditions.
Safety Compliance – Follow OSHA regulations and proper handling procedures for ACM panels, adhesives, and cutting tools.
Quality Control – Inspect panels for defects, proper installation, and overall structural integrity.
Collaboration – Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure seamless execution.
